Hello I would love to get my hands on some Rusyn language books, specifically the ones beings used to teach the language in Slovakia. Any help would be greatly appreciated. charlie.hopta@gmail.com Sorry, I don't speak slovak or rusyn (yet!)
rusyn language is dying out in Slovakia. Young generation in rusyn villages speaks slovak only. They understand rusyn though, because they hear it from their parents. Ironically, they preserve their rusyn heritage in "folklor",. They have a lot of young talented people performing rusyn music and songs. I don't thing schools in Slovakia teach rusyn language. If you're planning on visiting Slovakia, I would recomend learning slovak language
allow me expand your idea into EU/USA global model:

If Charlie would like to get Rusyn books ( and wrote it directly - some Rusyn language books), why do you send off him? From your side very desperate attitude..
Hi Charlie,
I ordered any rusyn books some time ago from Rusyn and Ludove Noviny Press, they are selling any schoolbooks also. I suggest, that you contact them on rusyn@stonline.sk, Mr. Zozulak should give you detailed information.
